Tumbling Blocks Quilt

"I feel like making a new quilt," I said. What kind of quilt should I make? Something simple? Nah! I'll make it full of tiny pieces that have to be sewn together in awkward Y seams, and where no seam is longer than about 2 inches. And I won't use any real pattern... I'll just make it up as I go. Sounds like fun!  Three months later, it is done. Although it wasn't easy, I love the way it turned out! (Try not to get dizzy looking at it!)

The Hiatt Family Cruise of 2022

Tues, May 31, 2022   I took the car in for a check before our road trip Friday only to learn the radiator has a leak. Ugh! That was $1100 I didn't expect to spend today... but at least we are less likely to be stranded in the middle of Texas with an overheated car and miss our cruise. I'm trying to finish my quilt before we leave. I'm hand stitching the binding now. We watched Wanda Vision (all episodes) today. Thurs, June 2, 2022 I think we are ready to go. We got our COVID tests, but when John went, Jimmy Carter overheated and we ended up having to get him (the car) towed home. I didn't finish my quilt and I've been rather stressed, but hopefully the coming week will be more relaxing.
