Surgery picture

This was the picture taken during the surgery to remove cancerous lymph nodes from the left side of my neck on August 3rd, 2022. My head is to the left of the picture. 

The whitish blob in my neck just to the left of the ruler is a piece of gauze where my thyroid used to be. 

You can see the chunk that they removed on the right of the ruler. The dark spots on the chunk are the cancerous bits. As you can see from the ruler, the section removed was about 2 inches long. (The dark spots still inside my neck area are not cancer spots... I think he said they were spots that were cauterized or something to keep from bleeding during the surgery.)

Honestly I have a lot of respect for surgeons who can look in people's bodies and actually know what they are looking at because it all looks kind of red and stringy to me.
