In Pursuit of Trivia
Steven and I went out to dinner on my birthday, and afterwards we browsed a couple thrift stores for clothing for Steven to wear on his upcoming pioneer trek. While browsing the shelves, we came across a Trivial Pursuit Game, Junior Edition (1984), and decided to buy it.
Josh and Peter went to their first day of Cub Scout Day Camp today, and to keep Hannah and John entertained in their absence, I broke out the new (to us) game. Wow. We had fun, laughing and scratching our heads at names and fads that the kids had barely, if ever, heard of. Some of the cards included questions on Archie, Flash Gordon, Green Lantern, Mr T, Strawberry Shortcake (and her friend, Crepe Suzette), Dungeons and Dragons, W.C. Fields, John Calvin Coolidge, Huey, Dewey and Louie (and the Junior Woodchucks), Paddington Bear, and David Bowie and his son Zowie.
It was fun. I look forward to playing again.
